We are not primarily a direct-mail company, but
because of our involvement in direct-mail and promoting our website
we have found that there is significant benefit that can be derived
by both ourselves and our subscribers in using direct-mail as a
temporary means for promoting both the website and our subscribers'
businesses. This is a temporary measure on our part and eventually
we are sure that the website will deliver significantly greater
response to advertising than direct mail does.
Our main method for reducing cost is using what is called enhanced
carrier routes. Basically this requires having certain permits that
allow you to mail to carrier routes. Carrier routes average about
450-600 deliveries (businesses and/or residences). A postal carrier
puts a postcard or letter in each mailbox on his route. This is the
most inexpensive method of mailing offered by the United States
Postal Service.
Our primary method of mailing is what we call our mixed mail
program. This program benefits both our desire to promote the
website and our customers with a very efficient and low cost way of
mailing. Basically what we do is put a number of items in an
envelope and average the cost of mailing over the number of items in
the envelope. What that does is reduce the cost of mailing a
postcard for example to 4˘ as opposed to 28˘ that it would cost the
individual to mail the postcard (assuming it is a small postcard) or
the 19˘ that we would charge if you’re using our standalone mailing
program. We explain more about this in Mixed Mail Pricing
We also do "stand alone mailing" but it is not the same
pricing as our "mixed mail program". In a standalone mail for customers we are in fact
acting strictly as a mail delivery for their business without any
real benefit in promoting the website. If we are going to do that,
then there has to be some type of benefit to us and that comes in
the form of revenue. We explain more about this in
Stand Alone Mail Pricing.
Each of our customers has their own requirements for their mailing
and our intention is to accommodate those requirements as much as we
possibly can at at a very reduced cost. We suggest that you give us
a call and talk to us about your specific requirements and let us
see if we can be of benefit to one another. 972-841-2011 |
